Week 11: Sit or Start?

December 16th, 2011

Week 11: Sit or Start? Without Brees, Take A Chance At QB During Week 11 Let’s face it. You hate the guy in your fantasy league with Drew Brees. He’s the guy who probably snagged Marques Colston way too early in the draft and then hurdled over you and knocked down his grandma to pick up Jimmy Graham on free agency. You hate him, of course, unless he’s you. And this will not be your week. If you’re heavily invested in the Saints’ offense, it’s time for Plan B.

Football Fanatics and Freaks

October 14th, 2010

Rabid Football Fandom Football fanatics and freaks are what makes sports in general, and NFL and NCAA football in particular, such cultural phenomena. Football homers and rabid fans maintain interest levels and drive ticket sales, especially when times are tough for a team. Those crazy football fans provide much of the color and “identity” of the team, maintaining huge buzz when things are going good, spark huge backlash when things go badly, and otherwise provide the support that an

Fantasy Football Projections 2010

September 23rd, 2010

Fantasy Football Projections 2010 Fantasy football league owners use projections to determine their draft order — the order in which they want to draft players. Fantasy Football Guide for Beginners

September 22nd, 2010

Fantasy Football Guide for Beginners Fantasy football is a competition between football fans that plays out over the course of a football season. People who participate in fantasy football contests (also known as “leagues”) start out by drafting their team from the lineups of current NFL players, putting a team roster together, and then compete with their team against teams drafted by the other people in their league. Depending on the type of fantasy football league you participate

Fantasy Football Defense Rankings

September 22nd, 2010

Fantasy Football Defense Rankings In most Fantasy Football leagues, defense stats are scored by team. That means you pick your defense as a unit by drafting “Cowboys Defense” or “Jets Defense” rather than selecting individual players. Leagues that do use individual player stats are known as IDP leagues and are not as common as defense by committee. Predicting how a team’s defensive squad will perform (and figuring out what priority to give a defense draft) is not e
