Fantasy Football Cheat Sheets 2009
Fantasy Football Cheat Sheets – High Performance League
When you walk into a fantasy football draft, you’re going to need fantasy football cheat sheets to help you draft players at the right spot. If you’re drafting the first player you come across in the fantasy football magazine, your buddies are going to be laughing at your draft picks all day long.

For those drafting in fantasy football drafts this weekend, I’ve put together some cheat sheets to use in your draft. As a player is selected, mark through his name with a pencil or use a yellow highlighter to mark their name as “off the board”. When you start to notice one player high up your draft sheet is still available when 5-10 players below have been selected, you know you’re drafting value at that spot.
I’ve put together fantasy football cheat sheets for all the big positions. I want to list these right away, so you can print off the list as is and use it at your draft. Below, you’ll find:
- Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings
- Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings
- Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings
- Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings
- Fantasy Football Team Defense Rankings
- Fantasy Football Field Goal Kicker Rankings
I’m not going to bother ranking field goal kickers. You’ll find two groups: the ones I would draft as my primary kicker, and below that, the desperation field goal kickers.
The following cheat sheet was designed for a high performance league where quarterbacks receive 6 points for a touchdown, 1 point for 25 yards passing and +3 points for 350 yards passing.
On the running back cheat sheet, I’ll put the handcuff runner next to the player (in parentheses) you should draft high. The “handcuff RB” is a backup or complimentary back whom you should make certain to draft, if you draft the starter. This way, if your star running back goes down with injury, you still have a running back to start. Don’t draft the handcuff running back until around the 8th round, when most teams have filled out their starting lineup. Some runners won’t have a handcuff suggestion, because that player doesn’t have a defined backup worthy of the selection.
You might find the running back rankings as a little different from what you’ll find in a fantasy magazine. My rankings factor in what I consider the likelihood of injury for certain players, like Brian Westbrook and Michael Turner (the 370 Curse). The second group of runners (unnumbered) are backups or committee runners who are high value nevertheless. The third group are desperation fantasy draft picks and late, late round draft picks.
