LeSean McCoy Fantasy Football News

Brian Westbrook’s New Backup Looks Good in Debut

LeSean McCoy looked solid in his time playing with the Philadelphia Eagles 1st team offense in their game last Thursday night vs. the New England Patriots. McCoy had 10 rushing attempts for 55 yards and 2 receptions for 12 yards on three drives for the Eagles. The drives last 11 plays, 9 plays and 10 plays, respectively, so McCoy was used on 40% of the Eagles plays on those three drives.

Don’t forget McCoy on draft day, especially if you draft Brian Westbrook. (Unforgivable sin if you do.) In dynasty leagues, draft LeSean McCoy, because it’s only a matter of time before Brian Westbrook is pushed out the door and McCoy looks like the heir apparent.

Jeremy Maclin Fantasy Football News

Otherwise, the Jeremy Maclin had 2 receptions for 44 yards, but these were both passes from AJ Feeley, so take these numbers with a grain of salt. (He was on the field for one incompletion from McNabb.) Otherwise, Jeremy Maclin spent most of the night catching punts. Though he muffed the first punt he took, Jeremy Maclin had 120 yards on kickoff returns and punt returns through the rest of the night.

Eagles Receivers & Tight Ends News

Kevin Curtis got no receptions, but Donovan McNabb targeted Kevin Curtis on the Eagles first two offensive plays. Brent Celek, the Eagles TE and a possible deep sleeper at the position, had 2 receptions for 30 yards.
