Michael Turner Impressive in Preseason Debut

Michael Turner put on a show in the first preseason game for the Atlanta Falcons, posting 63 yards and 1 TD on 6 carries, including his 40-yard touchdown run. This is pretty much how Michael Turner’s 2008 season began, with a big game against a lousy Detroit Lions team. Keep in mind this is the Lions we’re talking about, but it looks like Michael “the Burner” Turner still has what it takes.

Roddy White Fantasy Football News

On other notes, Roddy White had 3 receptions for 29 yards in limited duty, just a week after he signed a big contract and came into camp. Tony Gonzales had 1 reception for 7 yards, while Matt Ryan completed 5 of 7 passes for 33 yards in limited time on the field.

Curtis Lofton Fantasy Football News

Curtis Lofton, being touted by some fantasy draft sites as a breakout player in IDP leagues, had 2 tackles in a little over 1 quarter of activity. Curtis Lofton, the Falcons 2nd year middle linebacker, is being turned from a 2-down to a 3-down player this year, so his production should go up significantly.
